cooling fan turns on when the car is started, wont turn off and car im limp mode

Hey,

I've a 2006 Astra H 1.4 sxi, recently the car has got a lot of work new timing chain, oil filter housing (as the last one was warped) same as the rocker cover, also had a new abs pump (as the revs and fuel gauges stopped working). About a week ago I started the car and the cooling fan turned on straight away and the car was cold, then when I drove it the car was in limp mode and also the light with a car and a spanner was on. A day later i got the car checked and a code saying ''P1122 throttle position sensor high low input'' I had the pedal changed still nothing, then changed the throttle body and that still didn't fix it, I had it scanned for codes again and the same code was up but there was a second code saying EGR valve blocked, I took it off it didn't look that bad and tried the car again but now the car with a spanner light is gone and now there is just a engine light but still have the problem with the fan and the car in limp mode i haven't got the codes scanned since but would anyone know if there is a common fault with these or which part i should be looking at replacing as my mechanic isn't sure what to do next as its on a tight budget ,

Hi there, your story shows the limitations on electric diagnostics at the place you have the car serviced. If I understand correctly, now we should help your mechanic, so he can charge you money? If he fixes the car, with the help of forum colleagues, he should work for free, because he is on training!

Typical problems, oil flooded cable loom, defect ecu, wiring insulation damage, from previous bad measurement techniques, bad throttle body (old known good parts, yeah, sure ..).
