Ascona 400 original...

Hello..



Sorry but i only speak English so sorry for those who don't....



Two years ago i find an original Manta 400 road version, but always wanted an Ascona 400.

Then 3 months ago i got a phone call about a Ascona 400 which was for sale. It has 65k kms from new with some history.



It is one of the rhd versions - i think they made 8 rhd's cars, but am not sure. I pay reasonable money for this one..



Yet again i'm sorry i don't speak Dutch.....

Yea the SWB Quattro is also mine - it is a replica with a 20v AAN Engine.



It is a nice car but i still prefer old Opels....

I see we have the same taste, I'm building a manta 400 turbo, and also daily drive an Audi Coupe B2 1986. No money for a quattro version, especially not the SWB version :swear

I live in Ireland, and only own 2 original 400. I have been told there were 8 Ascona 400 built rhd for United Kingdom. I know of another 3 rhd cars.



I am gathering up parts to built a 400 rally car, not sure yet if i use the Manta or Ascona...



Anyone any parts for sale for 2.4 engine ?? I need inlet for webber 48's and an exhaust manifold and any other parts..

Manta 400 rallycar (a serious one) is harder to built then the Ascona 400, besides that handeling an Ascona 400 is easyer then the manta 400.



But on the other hand: everyone builts an Ascona 400 (rallycar) you would be more unique building the Manta 400 rallycar.



The built it self can be just as easy if only the bodywork has to be 400 and you forget about the other details, depends on what you want.
