Heres some cars i bought in Holland. Theyve been sent home to Ireland where im building 1 as a rally car,1 as a white wide arch 400 replica & the yellow 1 will be left as is-pristine!! Hope the photos work out?? I cant seem to get them all to open on the screen????

Thank you. I was having some difficuly puttin up more than 1 photo. I will keep you informed as to how they work out. All 3 cars have c20xe engines but i need a 4 branch for them. I think i will make them when i return to Ireland myself.

Darn! I'd seen that yellow wide Ascona on more then 1 on occasion on different sale-sites. Price was dropping steadily, and coming close to what I'd pay for it. Seems like I missed it! :P



It's a really really nice one. Came with 2 additional engines as well, right?
 
Yes but i did not take the additional engines. I made a deal for the owner to install the c20xe engine i bought in Germany. I also got alot of spare parts with the car. How much was it originally for sale for??
 
i had a look on the green one, its whit an c20xe whit carbs isnt it?

it didnt look bad, but not really good aswell.

The green 1 only needs some welding underneath. The engine is fantastic & its also got a ZF differential. Ive got a wide arch kit got for it at home & white revolutions. Will make a fantastic base for what im going to do with it. Ive had alot of people in Ireland try buy the brown shell in the photo aswell. I intend building that as a rally car if i get time.
 
Haha..Hey Lars. How goes it pal. Yeah i kept the bootlid because im going to use it at home when i build the car!!!Hope you dont mind.It was too good to give away!

hmm, would be interested to know if the previous owner still has the engines for sale. I think one was a CIH 2200.





I spotted the yellow one first for about 1/2 year ago on ' oldtimer-for-sale.nl' or something for around 5900. later it was offered through marktplaats for 4000, with all the extra stuff included. Already a good price, considering the interior, and the 5 -lug axes already built under the car. (i believe also a locking differential?)

That's typical dutch :-) Keep it for sale until the minute it's being picked up. you never now if someone canceled :-)

i'm still looking for one but i'm not in a hurry cause i still need to save some money to respray my car! (with a new bootlid and hood)

I bought the bonnet, and now it is on the Ascona of a friend of me, it fits nicely and he's really chuffed with his 400 bonnet!! :thumbup
 
Hey man. Have you any photos of the bonnet?? Does it fit good. I wish i kept it because i would have used it on the other car im building.:cool:

Owidio who also is on this forum sometimes, has a couple of very nice Asconas.



Maybe he can sort ou out with a bonnet, he also made the 400 boot spoiler for my friends Ascona.
